Garlo Ward is a law firm located in Austin, Texas. We were contacted by La Shawn Barber, who owns and operates The Language Artist, a blog consulting business, to assist with the set up, design and layout of Garlo Ward?s new website.

Their original website was done in HTML using Front Page… – -and their blog was located on They wanted something a bit easier to manage – and something that was all in one place, easy to make updates and an update on their design to make it cleaner and easier to the eye with a better navigation system.

We first installed WordPress on their site and set it up for them to use as an overall CMS (content management system) for their entire website, utilizing the page template feature in WordPress 1.5.2.

We then provided them with a brand new design, based on their old one – - but cleaner, with an easier navigational system.

WordPress now allows them to make easy updates to their site and blog, without a lot of hassle and uploading of individual HTML files. We also imported all of their archives from their Blogger blog, ensuring that they did not lose any of their archives in the process.

In the end – - garloward.com uses WordPress, exclusively, to manage their 171+ page website. Easy as pie!

Our thanks go out to La Shawn Barber of The Language Artist for her collaboration and organization of this project with E.Webscapes.
