WordPress Design - Cao’s Blog ~ Lisa Sabin-Wilson

Cao’s fourth design from me, at E.Webscapes! She has retired her previous three designs, opting for a simpler design that is clean, minimalistic and spotlights her writings more than her design.

Providing me with an image she chose from IStockPhoto.com….. - I was able to give her blog exactly the make-over she was looking for.

In addition, I added in some extra bits of functionality with her live archives, links page and the search function. The default search return within WordPress returns a page that has all of the full posts listed out on one page for the particular keyword that the user was searching for. Using the Search Template ability within WordPress 1.5.2 - I was able to pare down her search results page. Now, that page delivers the hyperlinked post name with a small 20-character excerpt of the post. It displays 10 search results per page before it starts showing the “More Search Results” navigation links at the bottom.

Cao purchased this new design to celebrate her 1-year Blogiversary which was on August 18!
