I first designed Emily’s blog for her in August of 2005. Back then, she was a import from Blogspot and brand new to using WordPress. Now, more than a year later, she’s a WordPress veteran and came to me looking for a new redesign to replace her old one. She was looking for a new design that would inspire her to blog more.. wanting something colorful, energetic and FUN…

In the order for her redesign - she wanted an image of a Koi Fish used ’somewhere’ and wanted the design to be “asiany, but not really” - - she wants her blog to be a place of energy, color and inspiration for her own rants, raves and ‘meaningless crap‘ (her words, not mine!)
Assuring her that no crap is completely meaningless - I headed down a colorful, energetic, asiany (but not really) path with a Koi goldfish dancing in my head and produced a design that she is very happy with and one that I hope will inspire that colorful energy that she seeks! She recently started her own business - so if you get a moment and want to pass along a word or two of encouragement, please give her a visit!
Emily is planning on posting more of her photography on her blog with this new launch, and I’m looking foward to seeing the photos she chooses to share with the world. In the meantime, I provided some custom styling for her Flickr feed in her sidebar where she can spotlight some of the photos she shares on Flickr.
Thank you, Emily, for keeping me in mind for your second redesign! Happy holidays and BEST of luck with your new business ventures and your new blog digs!
