Sugar Ray Dodge WordPress Theme ~ Lisa Sabin-Wilson

I recently completed yet another blog design for Dave over at Sugar Ray Dodge. I think I have completely lost track of how many designs I have completed for him over the years, he is a long-time client who repeatedly comes back for something different and even more fun than last time!

This time around, Dave was looking for something a bit more patriotic and political than the last few designs I’ve done for him. The ideas he gave me were “something red, white and blue.. maybe some stars, old Presidents or something like that”. I think after working with Dave so often, we have developed a kind of psychic connection when it comes to design work - - he knows what I need to hear, and I know what he likes to see. I took his ideas and developed a clean layout with a patriotic theme - using images of Mount Rushmore and a scroll of the U.S. Constitution in his design, accented with stars and stripes to complete the look. I also provided him with a nice tabbed navigation for his archives to free up the side bar a bit more to make room for him to adverstise the books he has written and add a few advertisements on his site.

Overall, working with Dave is always a lot of fun - this time around was no exception!
