Procrastinate no more!

I want to start this post off first by making no excuses for the RSS feed snafu that happened overnight. E.Webscapes RSS Feed Readers – particularly those who read this Design Blog via RSS stood a very good chance of having up to 100 posts show up for us in your feed reader. … Please accept my apologies for any inconvienence – feel free to take away all my chocolate for the day!

Over the past 24 hours, there have been some pretty major changes happening at this site – but really none that you would notice, as all the changes happened on the backend. Aside from the gobs of posts downloaded into your RSS news reader this morning – everything went well and if I’m lucky – you’re noticing minimal changes here at the site (if any at all…that would be good, too)

I do regret to report that the RSS feed URL has permanently changed – this part of the site upgrade was an unavoidable but very necessary change – again, my apologies if it inconviences anyone out there. If you wish to continue reading this site via RSS – you will need to update the RSS URL to: http://feeds.feedburner.com/EWebscapes

See, I’m a blog designer who doesn’t practice her own advice – guilty as charged! Over the past two years, my learning curve in regards to the use and implementation of WordPress has been just HUGE . . and my knowledge level and experience has grown by leaps and bounds. So I’m out there, designing blogs – setting up WordPress for hundreds of blog users.. installing and setting up all this cool stuff.

Unfortunately, the plight of a busy designer is this: sometimes the designers own site suffers so that their clients sites don’t. That’s the harsh reality for me – - and it’s a good thing, really. I’m very fortunate to be so busy with client sites that I ignore my own.

That being said – I performed some MUCH NEEDED upgrades to the structure and optimization of this entire website, from soup to nuts. I ripped it all apart – tore it to shreds and put it back together again the way it really needs to be. You, my visitors, shouldn’t notice a thing – not really. Maybe some minor things here and there.. but nothing crucial or significant in terms of the visual layout. It was all back end stuff.. the under the hood nuts and bolts of it all.

I feel so much better for having done it – - now my ultimate goal is to never procrastinate my own site ever again.
