New Music Nation

When I contacted Lisa about creating the blog design and custom functionality of my hybrid music website/blog, I knew I was asking for something a little out of the ordinary…based on the regular packages offered on the site and her portfolio. But I figured it was worth asking to see if she was interested. She was.

The project took on a life of it’s own and we both spent more time and effort on it than either of us expected. But Lisa stuck it out (through a couple unforeseen hurdles) and designed an AMAZING blog for me. People that have seen the design are raving. And the custom search functions of the site are quite fancy for a blog.

Lisa was already an expert on WordPress design, php coding and MySQL database management before she took on my project, but I know she’s learned several new things trying to accomodate my requests.

I highly recommend E.Webscapes.

Thanks Lisa,

Dave Powers @ New Music Nation

  1. [...] Apparently the Big Guy is trying to tell me something about my blog.? For the life of me, I am having the WORST luck trying to find a place to do my site.? First I had some chickey set up to do the graphic and the blog, then she flaked.? Then I had Diana set up to do it and she decided she couldn’t.? Then I go to EWebscapes and think I have found my Mecca for blog design and now I’m thinking that isn’t going to happen either.? After over a week of never hearing a response to my emails after the initial acknowledgement of an order, I find this message posted on their design blog.? Ummmmm… what the hell??? ? What is it about my blog design that has people running away in droves.? I don’t get it.? Maybe I’m too involved for people to want to work with me.? Sorry, but if I”m going to shell out money for someone to design a blog then it’s damn well going to look how I want it.? I would think someone that has specific ideas (and not difficult ones, I might add) would be more helpful than someone saying, “Oh, I don’t know.? What do you think?”.? I’m not asking for my blog to be able to launch the Space Shuttle remotely.? I just want it to look decent and do what I want.? ? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! 2. [...] Welcome, one and all, to the new home of goliard blogging. And what a spiffy new home it is, too, thanks to the work of designer Lisa Sabin of eWebscapes. I am glad to have had the privilege of working with them, and hope that my fussiness over detail and profusion of design notes were not the primary cause of their declaring a hiatus some weeks back.
