Ines approached E.Webscapes for a custom designed solution for her Miami Real Estate blog called, Miamism. This project spanned roughly 4-5 months of work, because there was a lot of back end work to be done – and in the end, Miamism is sporting a fresh, clean and professional looking blog.
Her current situation was somewhat difficult in that she was hosted with a company who was using a proprietary CMS solution – but she did not have access to the back end of her blog, there was no export utility and she wanted to convert to WordPress – - we were up for the challenge. One of the first things we did for Miamisms was to get her entire blog imported into a WordPress solution where Ines would have full control over her content, archives, as well as having an export and back up utility – in short, WordPress on her own hosting account gave her the 100% full control over her web site that, up until this point, she had been lacking. We imported over 4 years of content, manually, into her new WordPress environment.
The next step was to create a custom design for her blog, based on the feedback that she provided to us. After much back and forth – I designed a clean two column layout that features a rotating header banner with some photographs unique to the Miami area, a thumbnail slider script allowing her to display thumbnails of the neighborhoods in Miami, as well as some custom designed buttons and banners for her sidebar to call attention to her special content.
What is very unique about Ines’s blog at Miamism is her content – - say what you want about the design work, but any good blog is good (even great!) because of the content and the love n’ care that is put into it by it’s publisher. Ines knows the value of great content on her blog – have a visit over to her site, if you get the chance!

That’s a really nicely designed website (hate to use the word blog as so many people think of it as a ‘less than’ website)…and with the flexibility of WordPress they don’t even have to look like blogs anymore.
Again, 2 thumbsup on your design of that one.
