I’m happy to announce the new blog design for Josh Q. Public – a blog devoted to sports: “Irreverent sports opinion from a Bostonian in New York. The one blog to read, when you’re reading more than one. Recently nominated for the Best Sports Blog for the Bloggers Choice Awards – Josh Q. Public is chock full of sports information, trivia and fun…
Josh came to me with a blog he already had set up and running with WordPress on Yahoo. Looking for a fluid, 3-column design for his blog – he was looking for shades of blue with accents of black and grey. He wanted the columns to appear on either side of the content, with plenty of room for his blog posts and the photos and information he provides within.
I provided him with just the design he was looking for – his header graphic is custom designed per his specifications. The theme is also widget-ready – allowing him easy updates and re-arranging of the elements within his two sidebars. The use of Alex King’s ‘Share This’ plugin solved Josh’s need for integrating all the various social bookmarking services out there (if you haven’t checked out Alex’s plugin – do it now. It’s a really awesome plugin!). Also using Aaron Forgue’s Amazon Showcase widget plugin, Josh is now able to update his Amazon reading list within seconds.
When all was said and done, Josh had this to say:
looks super. thanks so much. really great job!!!!!!!
That’s enough to keep me at it, Josh – thank you very much for allowing me the opportunity to redesign your blog!
