A little disclaimer before we begin: this is NOT a site that is safe for work, kids, minors or anyone offended by topics of an adult nature. Now that we have disclaimers out of the way .. I recently launched the new design of Gloria Brame’s Typepad powered site at Inside the Mind of Gloria Brame – this is the second time I’ve designed her site, the first time was in 2002 – so she was due for a tune up!…
Gloria is an author of several books such as: Different Loving and Come Hither; she is also a sex therapist and holds a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality and an M.P.H. in Human Sexuality, so while the topic matter on her blog is of an adult and kinky nature – she wanted her blog design and presentation to have a fun, but professional look and feel.
Her favorite color is purple (I seem to be getting a few purple people lately!) – so we went with a very clean purple and white color scheme. Because Gloria wanted to maintain the ability to utilize TypePad widgets, we chose to us TypePad’s Custom CSS option for the design of her site, rather than the advanced template option. Hers is a three column layout to accommodate her blog posts, link lists and various books and resources that she presents on her site.
