We recently completed and launched the new design of GroovyGreen – the same folks who have brought us the popular Ecorazzi blog. GroovyGreen is a blog that started as a way to organize the large amounts of information swirling about the little town of Ithaca, NY concerning renewable energy and sustainable living that has grown to cover national and international news, products, and the people fighting to make a difference in promoting sustainability…

We worked closely with the GroovyGreen team to provide them with the look they wanted, and the style they were going for. They wanted “a site that is pretty, clean, hip, and fast loading. Organized layout that makes sense to readers. Maximizes ad space without feeling overloaded or mess. We also need a way to incorporate our magazine-type articles into the site without them getting buried by the blog content. To this end, we would love a way to highlight these articles. Everything would be done in WordPress.

As we will always agree around here, WordPress is really the best content management system to use for a site like GroovyGreen. After much communication back and forth with their team on color schemes, layouts and functionalities, we did nail a design for them that they are extremely pleased with. An easy and clean display of their content, ads and different sections of their site from their archives, polls, featured Green Business area and contributor sections – everything flows together nicely, in a clean and organized format.

We are currently in the process of installing a photo gallery on their site to provide them with an image gallery solution, which will round their project off and bring it to final completion.

Thanks to the folks at GroovyGreen for allowing us to help them take their blog to the next level with some great new functionalitys and a fabulous new design!
