Tom came to E. Webscapes looking for a design that would showcase his biomedical writing services at Falcon River Biomedical Communications. Tom also wanted to make sure the design was as search friendly as possible – both for outside search engines and his internal WordPress search engine. Tom’s site is essentially and online brochure describing his writing services to his clients, who are mainly biotech companies…
Tom had a basic design on his current HTML website that he wanted us to integrate into a fully functional WordPress theme. We took his existing design, and along with a few enhancements, provided him with a dynamic theme that is flexible enough to grow with his site, as he continues to build his content and add new features.
Not only did Tom want to recreate his website on WordPress, but he also wanted to preserve his Google Analytics functionality, fully utilize SEO features (both through the native WordPress function and through plugins), and implement Google’s AdWords. An interesting plugin that We installed for Tom is Search Meter. This plugin creates a log of all the searches made on your website an records the search statistics within the WordPress dashboard.
Tom’s thoughts on the design were very clear:
My goodness, this is beautiful. You’re a really talented designer, We . . . I really, really like your work and am very impressed.
Thank you, Tom, for the opportunity to assist bringing your site up to date with the latest features WordPress has to offer. Updating and maintaining your site will be so much easier now, and in the future, giving you the opportunity to spend more focused time on your content and writing – as it should be!
