I had a whole lot of fun creating and launching the new custom design for Chicky Bandita this week! Chicky Bandita is a group blog of 4 ladies: Chicky, Coupon Jayne (their resident super saver), Ms. Stacey (their Canadian version of Rachael Ray, and Momma (their wise sage)…

Chicky was looking for something along the lines of “Chicks with Brains” - and if you’re not familiar with it, check out these cuter than heck “Chicks with Brains” T-Shirts. Of course, we couldn’t use that exact image - - however, Chicky and I did find a very cute and suitable illustration via iStockPhoto purchased just for her design work.

Chicky Bandita was looking for a vivid color scheme and I went with shades of orange, black, red and a splash of lime green. She was also looking for a ever so slightly (but not *too* much) retro feel to the template, and something fun, lively with a whimsical touch to it. She’s extremely happy with the results and between the four of them, plan on taking the shopping, saving, cooking, recipe blogging world by storm! Don’t they all? I think Chicky is well on her way with her brand new blog, though - and I’m looking forward to the fun posts and information they plan on providing at Chicky Bandita
