DecorGirl – Custom WordPress Blog Design

Custom Blog Design

Lisa runs a nifty blog about interior design at DecorGirl. She approached us for a simple and feminine custom design for her WordPress blog that gives her the opportunity to post about her passion on interior design. Lisa has clients from all over the country and adding a blog to her business offerings makes it easy for her to stay in touch with those clients, while giving them some great resources and information, as well as insight into Lisa’s work and design tastes. Plus – because she chose to host her new blog with us at Blogs-About Hosting, she got 10% off her design package!

Specs

Lisa’s demographic at DecorGirl is generally women (or men) 18-50+ who want to live in a fabulous domain. Those who care about their interior and who are interested in interior design as it pertains to real people. Lisa is known in her industry for working with bright, vibrant colors, so when she placed her request with us and gave us her specifications, it was important that we provide her with a design that was colorful, but not to compete with the large photos she includes in her article posts.

Going with a fresh color scheme of navy blue, green and pink – our designer, Alicia, created a beautifully simple design for Lisa’s new blog. It features a 2-column layout, which gives her a large column space to display her articles and photos, while maintaining a smaller column on the side for Lisa to include her navigation pieces and favorite links and features on her blog. As Lisa is an artist herself, she prefers the uncluttered feel of the layout.

Feedback

Of all the design services I found online E. Webscapes seemed the most real and their site was easy to navigate. Plus I had never blogged and was afraid of WordPress. One of the big selling points is Lisa Sabin-Wilson having written the WordPress For Dummies book. This made me real comfortable, having never hired a computer design service before.

E.Webscapes was great! She would give me a possible time table and usually provide me with something earlier than planned. She was amenable to my pickiness with color and workable with my limited computer knowledge. I likes when she provided me with additional information via video/tutorial. These were super helpful.

How would you rate your overall experience with E. Webscapes: Exceptional – I will recommend you to my friends!!
