Custom WordPress Design for Assara Laser Cosmetic

The team from Assara Laser Cosmetic Services contacted us this past summer to do a complete and massive overhaul and design of their web site for their New York based business. They were looking for something that was colorful, bright and professional and worked extensively with our team to get just the look they were going for with their new site. We took them from a static HTML environment to a dynamic WordPress environment with a fully customized theme and design, and now, updating and maintaining the content on their site is a snap!

Assara needed special templates for different sections of their site, placing the spotlight on some of their individual and unique treatment packages. The landing (home page) was just the beginning. The extensive custom work that Joni completed on the internal pages was nothing short of genius! You can see an example by looking at their internal page for Microdermabasion and seeing what we did there with the layout, images and features. Then compare it to their internal landing page for their Solutions for Guys section – - completely different layout, template and look.

Their Beauty Blog also takes advantage of several different features such as auto-excerpts with customized “Read More” links, feature image thumbnails and a fully custom layout that is different from other sections of their site.

Assara is also very active in social media, so we made sure to include links, with snappy icons, to their social media networks of choice, including Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and LinkedIn

Moms with ADD : Ning Social Site Design

Terry is a psychotherapist and consultant specializing in ADHD in adults, with a special focus on women. She is the author of the book, “Survival Tips for Women with ADHD” and is the founder/director of Moms with ADD. Terry came to E.Webscapes to create a spiffy new design for her community site, and Joni created a fantastic and roomy design for her…

Initially, Terry had planned on using WordPress as her Content Management System, however during the project, Terry’s team opted to use the Ning social networking platform for her blog. Joni developed a contemporary theme in subtle shades of orange and blue, with custom comments section, a highlighted social networking area, and a horizontal menu to tie into their primary site.

Once the design was completed in Photoshop – we shared it with Terry and she was quite excited with the initial design concept:

It’s gorgeous and fun and entirely unique. I LOVE what you did. You did such a fantastic job!

That was all the encouragement we needed! We took the custom design and created a fully functional, unique and beautiful design for Terry’s Ning based community. Thanks for choosing E.Webscapes, Terry! We look forward to working with you again!

50 Fives by Fifty-Five : WordPress Blog Design

50 states, 50 5k road races, 1 goal. Bob, owner of 50 Fives was looking for a site that would support and generate awareness of his national road race program, and Joni helped himachieve that goal by designing and developing a clean, 3-column blog that would present his mission, story and events in an organized, efficient layout.

Integrating a calendar where Bob can log his race dates and times, a horizontal menu and excerpts from the racing blog on the main page, Bob was truly pleased with Joni’s design skills!

Everything looks great. I am really impressed with the work you have done. Thanks so much for all you’ve done to create the site. Its really fantastic.

The Purple Biscornu : WordPress Blog Design

Eva was looking for a new design for her personal blog, The Purple Biscornu, when she found E.Webscapes. After thumbing through our portfolio, she decided to take the plunge and go for a fresh new girly blog look, and Joni brought it to life with WordPress, of course!

Joni created a flowing, beautiful theme that highlights Eva’s love for cross-stitching in a clean and uncluttered design, while keeping it very feminine. The site utilizes the TTFtitles plugin to display custom fonts on the horizontal menu, a widget ready sidebar, and fun picture frames for the post dates.

What did Eva have to say about her design?

The Writer Bee : WordPress Site Design

Deborah wanted E. Webscapes to create a new design for her personal blog site, The Writer Bee that would really express who she is and what her favorite things are – writing and the outdoors! Deborah also wanted to make the big leap from WordPress.com to the self-hosted WordPress.org . . . a fantastic way to go.

Not only is Deborah as busy as a bee, but she’s constantly a Twitter! One of the key elements that Deborah wanted Joni to incorporate into her new design was a cute way for her Twitter updates to interact with her new header design. Joni also worked extra hard to make all the various elements in Deborah’s sidebar roll-up to keep things from getting too cluttered.

Deborah had asked for a colorful design that incorporated outdoor elements like animals (especially bees!), mountains, trees, etc. – and Joni came up with a really cute design for her site. Deborah was really pleased with the final design:

I think everything’s great – I can’t think of anything else I want done. It’s fabulous.

Now that she’s all moved in, Deborah has some great content about her latest travels – make sure you pour yourself a cup of coffee and have a little read!

Sao Noi Tieng Blog Design

Joni completed the recent launch of the Sao Noi Tieng custom design for their WordPress powered blog. The blog is Vietnamese and the title of the blog – Sao Noi Tieng – translates as “Famous Star”. This is a very fitting title since the blog is a Vietnamese celebrity gossip site, with plans to provide news, photos and videos. They are getting ready to fully launch their site with the great new design Joni completed for them…

Using a sharp color scheme of blues, white and black, Joni provided Sao Noi Tieng with the clean and vibrant look they were going for with this site. They are also using a nice Photo Gallery setup, as well as the ability to easily post videos to their site to provide further interactivity with their readers. Joni also helped them get set up with Feedburner for their RSS handling, as well as using it for e-mail subscription functionality.

Michael, the owner of Sao Noi Tieng, was extremely pleased with the final design work, layout and functionality of his new blog and we can’t wait to see the launch of a very interesting Vietnamese gossip site!

KauaiRentals.biz WordPress Site Design

Joni recently completed and launched Kauai Rentals WordPress site design, and it’s a smashing success! Sheena, owner of Kauai Rentals, runs a real estate rental service in Hawaii and has had a blog for that business for the past several years. We have been providing custom design work on her site since 2005, helping her grow her site each step of the way. . .

Sheena has always had a WordPress blog where she blogged about her business and rental property. This time around, she really wanted to use the power of WordPress to develop her site into a full blown business site that has a blog in a separate section, but highlights all of her services and content all on the front page.

Joni provided a nice and clean front page display, using WordPress, and pulled in the content from her blog – as well as content from other sections of her site to give her visitors a great ‘At A Glance’ look at the services and information she provides there. Along with this creative themeing, Joni also built in several new functionalities for Sheena like social bookmarking, e-mail subscriptions, featured rental and sales listings.

We are very happy to continue to provide ongoing support and design services for Sheena and thrilled to watch her business grow over the years, and watching her use WordPress to help her make it happen!

Lower Body Workouts for Women – Blog Design

Lower Body Makeover is yet another design we completed, in a series of 7, for Joey Atlas – personal trainer, and fitness guru. Joni Ang recently completed and launched this new design for Joey’s lower body fitness blog: leg, butt, hip and thigh makeover for women. Joey’s new blog is powered by WordPress, and along with Joni’s new custom designed theme, his new site is good to go. . .

For this particular site, Joey was looking for a color scheme that included different shades of vibrant purple – along with a few stock photos and illustrations of his choosing, Joni completed his very purple, 2-column WordPress theme that features plenty of white space, large content space and ample room for his videos, ads and client testimonials.

Joey was really excited at the completion of this project and had some super nice words for Joni:

Optimum Flexibility WordPress Design

Optimum Flexibility is another design we recently completed and launched for Joey Atlas. This is the second of seven designs he commissioned from E.Webscapes and Joni recently completed the design work and launched Joey’s site, powered by WordPress. . .

Joey wanted a striking blue and white color scheme for this particular site, along with the use of his own images in the header design for the blog. His blog promotes his fitness and exercise programs – this one has an emphasis on flexibility and stretching and markets his own DVD’s: Optimum Flexibility? – The Ultimate Stretching Exercise Program and Optimum Flexibility – Quick Stretch.

Joni did a fabulous job on his new site design and Joey couldn’t be more pleased:

Blog Design: He Blogs She Blogs

Together, Laura and Jim, run a blog called He Blogs, She Blogs. This team set up this blog to help individuals and businesses improve their marketing, writing, and blogging skills — so they increase their visibility and prominence in the marketplace. Our designer, Joni, recently completed their new blog design for this site . . .

Laura specifically requested Joni for this project because she fell in love with the work Joni did on The Art of Life. What’s not to love? Laura and Jim felt it was important to have a very clean and user friendly layout and design for their marketing blog and requested warm, contemporary colors and a nice use of photographs and images.

If you load the site, you see that the header design of this blog has a pleasant rotating image that rotates and fades in an out, without refreshing your browser window. Their site also has some great added functionalities like a subscription service for their E-zine, email subscription so readers are notified whenever they update their site, a clean use of static pages to handle their FAQ, Resources and Contact information page as well as Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Laura and Jim were thrilled with the outcome of their project:

Good idea. I backed up the Client page code and will do that for the other pages, as well.
