Blog Design: It’s Britney, B*tch ~ Lisa Sabin-Wilson

I was contacted earlier this year by Soleil, who runs the It’s Britney Bitch blog. Her blog is a Britney Spears fan site that covers what’s new and exciting (?) in the life and times of Britney Spears. Soleil wanted a design that was vibrant in color, yet easy to navigate and something that ‘makes visual’ sense….

Soleil wanted to use up-to-date images of Britney from her latest album (used with permission by the site owner) - Soleil wanted to give a more current representation of the pop star, than what you typically see on fan sites (which utilize older, younger pictures of Spears). The site has a bold fuschia, black and pink color scheme and features a gallery, video sidebar, slideshows, and more. The gallery is powered by the fabulous NextGen Photo Gallery and provides Soleil with the ability to run a full-blown gallery with several different albums within it, easily add the thumbnails and images to her posts, along with flash based slideshows of the images on a per-gallery or per-album basis. It’s pretty nifty!

Bangin’ AND outrageous… I guess that’s how we roll. heh.
