It’s always a great idea to create your own templates, but if you’re not technically inclined, it’s best get a premium template from ewebscapes

when choosing a wordpress template I was searching for a long time
sometimes you can find a good template, but as you said a designer will have to work with it a little bit:)

Yip – sometimes people trying to set up a blog put a higher value on their money than their time. If you start by realizing that your time is the most valuable asset you have and hiring a good designer is cheaper than spending 4 days trawling the internet for the perfect free theme….well…then you are starting your site on the right note.
