Amoral Opinions is my husband’s blog. He likes to rant and rave about silly, and not so silly, things he’s found around the net, or in the news. Powered by WordPress - his blog has been around for quite some time, and he decided that he wanted a new look and design for it.

When he first started his site - it was powered by WordPress 1.2 and we’ve gone through various stages of upgrades since the, with every new WordPress release, currently it’s being powered by WordPress version 2.0.5.

He wanted a two column blog design done in maroon, black and grey - with a white posting area to make for some easy reading. Other features of his blog include a full archive listing page, the categories page gives the reader the message of which category they are currently browsing (in case you get lost) - as well as exerpted posts from the posts within that category, with a link to allow you to go read the rest of that post, the monthly archive pages do the same thing. I also gave him the ability to create an unlimited number of static pages through the WordPress template features - WordPress pages are treated differently than posts - although, its just as easy to create a page. It’s just that pages created within your WordPress admin panel are not included in the post listings on the blog (or in the recent post listings, category listings or monthly archive listings) - - you can view a sample of one of his static pages here.

For those who don’t know, Chris helps me operate our hosting company at Blogs About Hosting - and he is an indispensable asset here at E.Webscapes with his PHP and MYSQL experience and skills. If you ever see some cool feature or awesome plugin on a blog I’ve designed - - something completely out of the box, more than likely - you’re seeing Chris’s mad skills at work behind the scenes.

That, and he makes an awesome cup of coffee - - so I think I’ll keep him around for awhile :)
